As a charter member of the Louisville Metro Council, I’ve been honored to serve as a strong, honest, and dependable voice for Pleasure Ridge Park, Iroquois, and Valley Station – as well as Metro Louisville as a whole – for over two decades.

I’ve been an educator my entire career, starting in the classroom at Mercy Academy for over 30 years and currently as the President of DeSales High School. Some of my proudest accomplishments as your council member have been investments in safe, family-friendly areas including playgrounds at four elementary schools, Riverview Park, Waverly Park, and the Valley Sports Baseball/Softball Complex.

Meet Rick!

I’m a steadfast ally of local businesses and relentless advocate for investment in Southwest Louisville:

  • Spearheaded the Dixie Highway Redevelopment project that has brought over $50 million in local, state, and federal investment to the Dixie Corridor

  • Secured major investments in the new birthing center at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital ($10 million), Harbor House’s new Intergenerational Life Center ($2 million) and a new Veteran’s Housing Project ($10 million) on Dixie Highway.

My commitment to upgrading and improving Riverview Park, our crucial community hub along the river, remains one of my top priorities. Once just a small playground, Riverview has grown into a destination park, consistently adding new features and amenities (coming soon: construction of pickleball courts this spring!) and home to the Riverview Independence Festival.

My wife Sherry and I, both lifelong south enders, have been blessed to represent you and your families through some of the most transformative times our city has experienced, and I would be humbled to have your support again in 2024.

We need your help to make this happen.
